Stephen Beller, PhD

Dr. Beller — NHDS's Founder and CEO — began building psychotherapy software in the 1980s that he used successfully with his clients to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of care he rendered. He soon began to realize the great value of computer-assisted measurement-based therapy and continued to evolve his software program.


This realization led him to create a novel software framework for creating information technology apps. He discovered how to use common software productivity tools in creative ways to build, share, and use knowledge that improves results.


In 1994 Dr. Beller founded NHDS and in 1998 the company received a patent for the software framework he invented.


NHDS's vision of universal health information system, and our mission to optimize cost-effectiveness of healthcare, are based on his decades-long effort to bring greater value to patients.


Since our software development framework is useful to knowledge workers in other fields, Dr. Beller guided the company to build apps for medical care and research, as well as for non-healthcare industries (including business project management, financial analysis, and natural resources exploration).
